Important Notice: Upcoming Fire Sprinkler System Inspection
Dear Bonita Village Residents,
We are pleased to inform you that our recent balcony inspections were successfully completed. As required by California regulations, these inspections occur every 9 years, and we appreciate your cooperation during this process.
Looking ahead, we will be conducting another important inspection in the coming weeks—a 5-year fire sprinkler system inspection. This inspection is crucial for ensuring the safety of all residents and meeting fire code and insurance requirements. It will involve entry into every unit to thoroughly assess the fire sprinkler systems.
We understand that this may be inconvenient, but it is a necessary measure to maintain the safety and security of our community. To ensure a smooth process, we will be sending detailed information about the inspection schedule both via email and through mail to your home.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the upcoming inspection, please feel free to contact us.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
Your Board 2024
The election has been completed with quorum achieved at the first try this year! Thank you to everyone who provided proxy or ballot, which helps a lot in smooth operations for the community and avoided the need for an adjourned/reconvened meeting.
Your Board of Directors for the coming year is as follows: Barbara Ray, President; Sage Zeng, VP; Chantale Noreen, Secretary/Treasurer.
Meetings will be quarterly, so the next meeting will be April 29th. We hope you will join us! The agenda and Zoom link is emailed out a few days before the meeting, but here is a “sneak preview” of some of what will be on the agenda: pool deck repairs and coating, sidewalk repairs, balcony inspections, landscape replacement. After discussion at last night’s meeting, it was decided to enlist the help of a homeowner with connections in professional landscape planning for replacement of the trees that were removed near the pool area due to problems with roots and concrete lifting.
Your participation in your community is welcome! See you at the next Board meeting!
Taco Van Get Together
Thanks to all who were able to attend the taco van get-together last Saturday. There was a good turn-out and the Board appreciated getting to know the community better. Everyone had a great time! Attached are photos from the event.
We’ll do this again next year!
Doors, Doorbells and Hardware
At the May 22nd, 2023 meeting the Board proposed several rule changes which have been posted on the bulletin board and emailed to homeowners. Part of the proposed changes touch on the topic of doors and doorbells. As outlined in the community governing documents, all exterior changes to the appearance of your condo are subject to Board approval. “Ring” or similar camera-doorbells are allowed, but only if installed in place of the original doorbell in the same location, not on the door itself. All door hardware should be black and should only be replaced by similar style hardware. If in doubt about the style you’d like to use, please email your community manager a photo of what you have in mind.
If a paint touch-up to your front door is needed, you can find the color chart on the Resident Portal under the “Documents” section. Some doors have faded and you may need to repaint the entire door to make it look good.
If you have any questions, please email your community manager, Susan Elmorabit at selmorabit@actionlife.com.
